Replace or Repair Your Old Tractor

Oftentimes, when it comes right down to it, money is the major deciding factor in tractor replacement or repair. Many determine the need to replace or repair their machines not on the merit of the machine itself, but rather on the amount of money in their pocketbooks. Though this may seem like the best tactic at the time of your breakdown, it may not be the best idea in the grander scheme of things.

There are a couple of different factors to consider when you are thinking about repairing or replacing your old tractor. The first factor to consider is of course the body and parts that are still working on your machine before you complete any repair work. Taking an inventory of what works, what is busted, and what could use a bit of TLC is a great way to assess overall what can be salvaged and therefore what the tractor is worth, even if it is not currently working.

With something like tractor, truck & implement enamel, for example, you may want to consider what percentage of the enamel is still intact before you opt for a new machine. If a large portion of enamel is still in great shape, something like Majic Paints tractor paint may be a better option than a full repaint or replacement. Still another issue to contend with when considering the replacement or repair of your tractor is of course the financial burden that you will incur. Though money may not be your first concern, it should certainly be a factor.

Older machines are likely to be paid off or may be close to being paid off, making them seem quite a bit more enticing than taking on a new tractor payment if you decide to completely replace. Though replacement is always an option, it is almost always cheaper and more efficient to repair and extend the life of your existing machine rather than buy a new one.
